ALL Raves and Rants on this site concern the collection (see Bibliography) of 160 authors whose 382 books currently (7.10.2013) comprise my collection of the Regency Romance genre.

Raves (positive) concern writing style, plots, characterisations, tensions and period details

Rants (negative) only concern the 7 categories as explained on the Rants page. I will not attempt to mind-read the authors who make these faux pas. I will try and explain why I think they are avoidable faux pas.

Ultimately the author is at fault.

Self-publishing has taken the proof-reader (spell checks, punctuation checks and grammar checks) and the content editor (historical accuracy checks and vocabulary/lexicon checks - in the Regency Romance genre) out of the loop of the publishing process.
